Logo Design for Brilliant Athenaeum

For the first mock, I thought of the idea of combining the brain and speech bubble together to create a mark and instead of a full watercolour texture, I used gradients and overlayed the colour to give it an illusion of watercolours.

For the second proposal, I illustrated a human head with a brain exploding in paint to symbolise the creative mind and a hand cradling the brain as to symbolise healing to give it a wholesome and empowering feel.

The client liked the idea of a single line drawing to be part of their logo identity and she asked me to try to make the watercolours more realistic as well. We also experiment with different font types and colour before finalising with this logo design below.
